UMKC announces new soccer stadium

On April 9, UMKC Athletics Director Tim Hall announced the Stanley H. Durwood Foundation will fund the majority of the construction of a soccer stadium for the University of Missouri-Kansas City. The stadium, named after Stanley H. Durwood, founder of AMC Theatres, is scheduled to open in fall 2009.
